Get walking!

There’s nothing like a good walk in the countryside. It improves your health and fitness, lifts your mood and makes a weekend seem to last much longer than if you just stay at home. No need to wear yourself out but if you do you’ll feel even better once you’ve recovered! And if you’ve an eye for a view there’s an endless supply of damn fine ones there for the snapping.

This site began as a showcase for some of my photos but is now as much about the walks as the pictures. There’s a slowly growing collection of articles (with lots of photos) about some of the longer walks I’ve done and some of the things I’ve learnt that might be helpful to you if you’re planning one yourself.
